NRTI’s postgraduate programmes will follow an innovative curriculum structure offering students a specialised, holistic, and truly interdisciplinary academic experience:
All programmes will be offered in collaboration with the transportation industry, especially the Indian Railways, thereby enabling an application-oriented approach to academic learning.
Students will have the flexibility to build an academic plan that has the requisite composition of core and elective subjects from all learning tracks: I (Domain knowledge), II (Multidisciplinary learning) and III (Self-discovery and professional development).
The first three trimesters will be common to students across the MBA programmes. This will enable a cross cohort interaction, and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among students and faculty.
Students would typically have two programme advisors, one expert mentor from the transportation industry, and one academic/research advisor from the university.
To earn a Master’s degree, each student will be required to complete the requisite minimum credit units over the programme period of 2 years of 3 trimesters each.
This programme is designed to equip young professionals with a foundation in theories, methods, and tools for managerial and analytical skills for design, integration and coordination of supply chains at multiple levels, bringing innovative and dynamic solutions to a fast-paced business environment. Specialised courses are offered in areas such as logistics & warehousing systems, supply chain strategy, freight transportation and revenue management to develop an interdisciplinary perspective. Elective courses will be offered in the areas of project management, business management and business analytics.
