Notice for Recruitment to Non-Teaching Positions

  1. The National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), a vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is India’s first Institute focused on transport-related education, multi-disciplinary research and training. A Deemed to be University under de-Novo category, NRTI is specifically established to create a resource pool of best-in-class professionals for the railway and transportation sector.
  1. NRTI offers multi-disciplinary programmes, both at UG and PG levels, designed to cater to the needs of India’s transportation sector. The Institute follows a demand-driven curriculum, while aligning with industry priorities. To ensure best-in-class delivery of education, the Institute follows a highly experiential and unique inter-disciplinary pedagogical system that incorporates the latest technologies such as live classrooms and online programs and delivered by high-quality faculty with global exposure.

  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent in the field of Marketing/ Communication/ Administration or a related field with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in position related to administration, marketing or corporate relations at reputed educational institutes.

 

Preferred/Desirable

  • Possessing exceptional writing and oratorical skills, ability to multi-task efficiently and deliver consistently
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively
  • Business development experience

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Also among the lead positions is the role of Chief Outreach and Admissions Officer. It is recommended to align the requirements for the role more closely to the Institute’s needs considering the high growth and quality desired in admissions.
2 Director – Executive Education

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 167900 /- p.m.

Age: less than 50 years preferred

Essential

  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent or advanced degree in education, business, administration, or a related field with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • At least 10 years of relevant management experience in a reputed University or Organisation

 

Preferred/Desirable

  • Experience within an international educational environment
  • Experience in business development, complex sales, and strategic partnerships development
  • Advanced degree and/or knowledge of the Executive Education market/industry
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to adapt communications to a range of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and to collaborate with professionals at all levels in diverse settings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Launching and executing Executive Education programme, which include short-course certificate programme, programme management, and leadership.
  • Professional development for the existing talent in railways and transportation sector, driving its transformation from within to be able to embrace new technologies and developments.
  • Exploring new partnership and operationalising existing collaborations, including executive education programs with Wharton and Cornell.
3 Director – Skill Development

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 167900 /- p.m.

Essential

  • Post graduate qualification or advanced degree in education, business, administration, or a related field with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • At least 10 years of relevant management experience in a reputed University or Organisation

  • Advanced degree and /or knowledge of the Skilling market/industry

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Launching and executing Skilling programs, delivering technical, safety and service operations training & certification via existing training infrastructure and digital technologies.
  • Providing guidance and interventions in revamping existing training offerings.
  • Developing the skilling platform for youth as well as staff for the logistics and transportation sector to deliver certifications at scale.
4 Chief Technology Officer

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 167900/- p.m.

Age: less than 50 years preferred

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average with relevant experience of three years in a technical / scientific post and demonstrated ability of management of laboratory and operation of technical / scientific research facilities.

 

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • M.E/M.Tech/MBA/MCA or equivalent, expert level knowledge in the field of practical Computer Networking and Cloud Services.
  • Ten years work experience after qualifying degree in the field of computer network and services design and implementation, network and systems administration

Five of these years should have been in a senior leadership and architect role where duties included: designing a campus based network, selecting technologies and products for such a network ­ including physical components such as switches, cables, routers, wireless APs for the network, as well as servers for running Internet services, software/hybrid product solutions for email, proxies, firewalls, data centre etc. Maintaining, upgrading and growing such a network and data centre.

  • Exposure to technology based learning end education environment

 

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about latest technologies in this space and should have a constant desire to use technical sophistication in network and services management, monitoring and trouble­shooting and long term planning. He/she should be willing to take judicious risks in trying out latest technologies, while still providing a reliably working network to the campus.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, set-up and operations of the Institute technology infrastructure including telecom and internet network, switches, cables, routers, learning management system, administrative systems for accounts, course management, record management etc.
  • Establishment and operation of applications and tools for delivery of E-learning, assessments and certification.
  • Management of technology assets and policies of the Institute.
5 Human Resource Officer

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay Rs. 78800/- p.m.

Age: Less than 40 years  preferred

Essential

  • Postgraduate qualification in management with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA/UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University/Institute
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience at reputed university/ higher education institution in supervisory cadre

 

Preferred/Desirable

  • Exposure to labour laws, social legislations, recruitment and reservation rules of GoI, HR policy formulation/ administration, wage/ salary administration in a reputed Central Government educational institution

6 Student Activities Officer

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 78800/- p.m.

Essential

  • A Postgraduate Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute.
  • Record of having represented the University / College at the Inter University / Inter- Collegiate competitions or state and / or national championships;
  • Record of organizing events as student’s convener or in later part of life.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience on an equivalent post in the University / Institute of National importance or similar organization having strong involvement and proven track record in organizing sports and drama / music / films / painting / photography / journalism / event management or other student activities.

 

Preferred/Desirable

  • Experience in guiding groups of students in creative activities
  • Record of strong involvement and proven track record of participation in sports and drama / music / films / painting / Photography / journalism event management or other student / event management activities during college / University studies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

7 Communication Officer

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 78800/- p.m.

  • Postgraduate qualification with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA/UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience at a reputed university/ higher education institution or reputed institution in marketing role preferably in managerial level.

 

Preferred/Desirable

  • Experience in corporate communication, marketing/business development and strong writing, editing and presentation skills;

8 Deputy Warden -2 (1 Female)

Engagement: On 3-year contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 40900/- p.m.

9 Admin Assistant

Engagement: On 3-year Contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 49100/-p.m.

Age: Less than 35 years  preferred

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade from a recognized University/Institute with excellent academic record.
  • 3 years’ work experience, preferably in a University/Institute of Higher learning or corporate organisation in the capacity of Assistant/ Jr Assistant
  • Should possess a speed of not less than 8000 Key Depressions per hour for Data Entry Work Computer Qualification (DOEACC ‘O’ Level). Note: The speed of 8000 Key Depressions per hour for Data Entry Work is to be judged by conducting a speed test on computer.
  • Proficiency in computers with skill to prepare spreadsheets, MS Word and PPTs.

 

Preferred/Desirable

  • Good Communication Skills in English and Hindi
  • Desirable: Proficiency in other computer skills including on spreadsheet; stenography skills.
10 Physical Instructor/ Yoga Trainer Preferably a Lady

Engagement: On 3-year Contract

Compensation: Consolidated pay of Rs. 49100/-p.m.

*In the case of Average Performance, no enhancement will be applicable.

  • Return (two-way) 2ndAC Class rail fare is reimbursable to outstation candidates invited for the interview for positions Sl No 1 to 7. However, this may not be applicable in the case of online interviews.
  • Mere fulfilment of the above-mentioned qualifications/experience etc. does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. In case, the number of applications received is high, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Candidates should, therefore, furnish all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed.
  • Candidates, who are presently employed in Govt./Autonomous bodies etc., need to submit an NOC from the employer along with the Application or they must produce the NOC prior to the interview.
  • Relaxation in age (over and above the stipulated limit), educational qualification and/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious candidates with the approval of the Competent Authority.
